Cookie Sale: The MYF is selling Empty Belly Cookies today as a fund raiser for World Vision. Each bag costs $1 and all proceeds will be sent in with our 30-Hour Famine funds.

Easter Baskets: It is time for our annual collection for Peter’s Pantry, and there is a line-up of baskets for you to fill. They can be filled with traditional items: plastic grass, wrapped candy, small toys, stuffed animals, books, stickers.  It would be helpful if you can wrap in cellophane, tied with a bow. If you don’t have any, please bring your basket in a grocery bag. Baskets are due back to church by March 11th.

Family Night: Be sure to join us TONIGHT for a great Family Night program! After the 5:00 p.m. covered dish dinner, the BINGO caller is found murdered! Six people are suspects. Try to solve the mystery as the game goes on. Special playbills, BINGO cards, and door prizes are all included. Our performer is traveling a distance to come, so let’s have a full house for this program! An offering will be received to help cover costs.

Church Council meets tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. in the Conference Room. Members are: Ken and Suzanne Aumack, Don Brecht, Carol Brozosky, Gillian Bruno, Robin DeGirolamo, Gregg Ferguson, Betsy Fox, Heather Freeman, Michele Giaquinto, Mildred Herman, Ed Human, Donna Kavlunas, Dave Luttenberger, Eleanor Madara, Bunnie Powell, Matt Sandy, Rosemary Stewart, Doug and Wendy Webb, and Geoff Young. Agenda items include setting Vitality Goals for 2018, Family Promise information, and Holy Week planning.

Quilting Lessons: Here’s a great opportunity if you are interested in learning how to quilt! Marie Stevens has offered to teach you. Join her on Friday mornings during the Knit & Crochet sessions (10:00 – 12:00 in the Youth Room). She’ll put together beginner packs and samples and help you with whatever project you would like to make. Bring a small notebook if you would like to take notes. Please call her at 956-3373 if you are interested.

30-Hour Famine: MYF members will again be participating in World Vision’s 30-Hour Famine, to be held on February 23rd – 24th. There are lots of ways you can be involved:
~~ Sponsor one of our kids. They go 30 hours without eating to raise money to help feed the hungry of the world.
~~ Participate in the 100-Envelope Fund Raiser. Take an envelope from the wall in the Coffee Room and fill it with the same number of dollars as the number on the envelope. Directions are in each envelope, and the deadline to return all funds has been extended one week to NEXT SUNDAY.
~~ Join us in fasting that weekend. Raise awareness in your family for the needs around the world. You are welcome to join us for our “break the fast” dinner Saturday evening as well.
     ~~ Pray for us!

Sunday School Teacher Needed: If you would be willing to teach one Sunday a month, please see Gillian Bruno for details.

Deployed Soldier: You are welcome to send a card or note of encouragement to our deployed soldier. Her address is: Jillian Longacre, The Dreamcatcher, 2009 Calle Espana, San Juan, PR 00911. A regular postage stamp will get it there.

Confirmation: If your child is in 7th grade or has never been confirmed, please see the pastor for details. Confirmation classes will be held from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesdays during Lent, starting on February 21st. Confirmation will be on Easter Sunday, April 1st.

Lay Servant Classes: The United Methodist Lay Servant Ministries offers training opportunities for those who would like to use their witness, leadership and service to inspire others to a deeper commitment to Christ and more effective discipleship. Basic Lay Servant Classes will be offered on Monday nights in April in Bridgeton. Advanced Classes will be offered on Thursday nights in April in Millville. If you are interested, see www.gnjmuc.org/ what-is-lay-servant-ministries/ for more information or to sign up for classes.

Spring Membership will take place in April. Let the pastor know if you are interested in joining the church!

Spaghetti Dinner: We will hold a Spaghetti Dinner on April 14th as a fund raiser for the church. Laura Cunard is willing to supervise the kitchen, but volunteers are needed to help. Mark your calendar; tickets will be available soon.

Ushers for 2018: If you would be willing to serve as an usher at either the 8:30 or 10:00 service, please sign up in the Narthex. If you can’t serve for the whole month, just indicate what weeks you are available.

ShopRite cards work just like cash, and we earn 5% on every dollar. Buy them here and help raise funds for the church! Cards are available from Karen Luttenberger, Jennifer Guht, Karen Borrelli, Bunnie Powell or Suzanne Aumack. Please guard them as cash; they cannot be replaced if lost.
